Lauren Mayer and Candace O'Brien began their careers together in the hospitality, commercial office sector in downtown Miami working on the most prominent commercial project south of New York City. This massive project is now known as the InterContinental Hotel and Citigroup Center. The duos combined portfolio includes 5-star restaurants, hotels, retail, and commercial office spaces. Together, they completed designs for law firms such as Shutts & Bowen, accounting firms such as Touche Ross & Co., and several banks including Chase Bank. During our tenure, we completed approximately 400,000 square feet of high-end office interiors.

Our education and attention to detail come from an intricate knowledge of furniture manufacturing, upholstery, drapery workrooms, and custom cabinetry shops. Our many years of experience save you from making costly mistakes and create a successful project. Regardless of the project size, our goal is to develop long-term working

relationships with our clients.

Later, our paths took us in different directions. Lauren became Principal at Dawson’s Interiors, a 3rd generation family-owned design firm in Miami. bydesign interiors developed out of Dawson’s Interiors and today continues to provide professional services for architectural and interior design projects, including high-end residential, banks,

             religious institutions, and retail.

Candace began work as Director of Design at Haynes Spencer Richards, a boutique Architectural Firm in Miami. Advancing her career, she moved to Washington, D.C., working for IBI Group, a global design firm, and returned to Miami to work for Sandals & Beaches Resorts. Her career has included office interiors, hospitality, medical offices, education, retail, and high-end residential.
